                              Their functions bring the ills it and portray the image of society. Authors have played a role that was progressive in the reform of society. Here's a profile of Famous authors. 


 Bankim Chandra Chatterjee -    

                                        Bankim Chandra Chatterjee also Called Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay has been among India's novelists and poets. He's renowned As writer of Vande Mataram, India's national song. Premchand - Premchand called Munshi Premchand has been among the best figures of modern Hindi literature. His tales portrayed the situation of these times. 


Rabindranath Tagore - 

                      Rabindranath Tagore has been an icon of Indian civilization. He was a poet. When he won Nobel Prize for his collection of poems, Gitanjali rabindranath Tagore became the first Nobel laureate. He was called as Gurudev and his tunes were called Rabindrasangeet. 


Anita Desai - 

                      Anita Desai is an Indian writer and short story author. She's known for her very sensitive portrayal of the interior emotions of her female characters. Many of the novels of Anita Desai explore tensions between the alienation of middle class women as well as members of the family. 


Arundhati Roy - 

                   Arundhati Roy is a famed novelist and activist. When she won their Booker Prize for her novel The God of Small Things, arundhati Roy came to limelight in 1997. She has been awarded Sydney Peace Prize in 2004. 


Jhumpa Lahiri - 

                    Jhumpa Lahiri is a famed Indian author of Bengali origin. Her first novel, The Namesake has been a major national bestseller and has been named the NY Magazine Book of the Year. Jhumpa Lahiri eventually become their first Asian to win their Pulitzer Prize if she won their 2000 Pulitzer Prize for fiction for her book Interpreter Of Maladies.


 Mulk Raj Anand - 

                         Mulk Raj Anand has been an Indian novelist, short story author. He was among the first authors to integrate Punjabi and industrial idioms into English. Mulk Raj Anand's tales depicted a realistic and comprehensive portrait of the poor in India. 


R.K. Narayan - 

                   R.K. Narayan is among the most famed and widely read Indian novelists. His tales were grounded in a thoughtful humanism and celebrated the humor and energy of regular life. Salman Rushdie - Salman Rushdie is among most famous Indian source authors. He's best known for their violent backlash his book The Satanic Verses provoked in the Muslim community. His father, Prem, has been an employee of their Bata India Limited shoe business who emigrated to post Partition India from West Punjab in Pakistan.


                Vikram Seth's childhood has been spent in the city of Batanagar near Calcutta, Patna, as well as London. V.S. Naipaul - V.S. Naipaul has been born on August 17, 1932, at Chaguanas, Trinidad as well as Tobago.
